Apply a small amount of cleansing oil onto the skin, gently massaging in circular motions to dissolve makeup and impurities. Dampen a Bamboo Facial Cleansing Cloth with warm water to gently steam the face before using it to remove any remaining oil from the skin. Why should I cleanse my skin with oil? What if I have oily skin?

Your skin naturally produces oil (sebum). Traditional cleansers often strip this oil away, leaving your skin dry and irritated. Oil cleansing works differently-because oil dissolves oil, the cleansing oil binds to excess sebum, sunscreen residue, makeup, pollutants and impurities. When you massage the cleansing oil onto the skin, it increases circulation and helps loosen dead skin cells. When you remove the cleansing oil with a warm cloth, those impurities lift away without disrupting your skin’s natural protective barrier. Oil cleansing gently removes dirt while leaving beneficial lipids intact-keeping your skin balanced and hydrated.

What ingredients in the Purifying Cleansing Oil make it beneficial for skin cleansing?

The sunflower oil in our Purifying Cleansing Oil is lightweight and non-comedogenic so it won’t clog pores, it is rich in linoleic acid (omega-6), which helps maintain the skin barrier and dissolve excess sebum, which makes it especially good for oily or acne-prone skin. It contains vitamin E, a natural antioxidant that protects against free radical damage and it is very gentle, making it ideal for sensitive or reactive skin. It also contains avocado oil which is a very nourishing and replenishing oil. Avocado oil is packed with vitamins A, D, and E, which support skin repair and healing. It contains oleic acid (omega-9), which helps restore dry or dehydrated skin, it adds richness and slip to the cleansing blend, helping it melt away makeup and sunscreen easily. It is also anti-inflammatory and soothing for skin prone to irritation or dryness. Rosehip seed oil also makes up our Purifying Cleansing Facial Oil, which is high in vitamin C and natural retinoic acid (vitamin A derivatives) which promotes cell turnover and evens out skin tone. Can I reuse my Bamboo Facial Cleansing Cloth?

Yes, the bamboo cloths can be reused, but they must be washed after every use. We recommend washing them in a laundry bag on a gentle cycle using a very gentle, organic laundry detergent. They can be dried in the dryer.

How crucial is it to use the Bamboo Facial Cleansing Cloth when skin cleansing?

We do recommend using our Bamboo Facial Cleansing Cloths after skin cleansing or facial masque removal due to the gentle fibers of the bamboo on the skin. Wash cloths or other towels can be a little rough on the skin and as we age, our skin does become more delicate and sensitive, so a gentle cloth is recommended.
